Day 5 - the last day of convention (and the first day of our trip home)

I have to admit, this convention was not as bad as I was expecting it to be. It was actually very interesting and informative. Despite there being over 2000 people it never felt overwhelmingly crowded, which is what I was worried about. I'm glad I went.

The flight from Montreal to Winnipeg was fine, but then the Air Canada computers went down and we were stranded in the Winnipeg airport. At about 1:30 a.m. they cancelled the flight, and sent us to a hotel.

Cuppy's last chance to shmooze - with "Election Nancy" (she was a hoot!) and former CUPE National President Judy Darcy.

Our last speaker, Jack Layton, leader of the NDP.

Cuppy trying to nap while waiting at the Winnipeg airport.

Cuppy illustrating what time we finally got to the hotel. It was a really nice room (compliments of Air Canada), but we were so tired it was hard to appreciate it much.
